Monday in Sekong

We started a two day meeting with our education counterparts from the three southern provinces. All this area has been impacted by the bombs which were dropped during the war in Indochina - and which had not exploded at the time. Cluster munitions are the worst - children can find them and thinking that they are balls (or Petanque balls) and play with them. So our education program reaches primary school children in many schools and districts in the target provinces.

With these regional meetings, we work with the depts of education to make up annual plans and identify the new schools that need the program.
